Here is a deviant that mixes photomanipulation and painting to create the most animated of illustrations. As the artist says herself "To me, mixing photo elements with painting causes something I call a vibration... between realism and surrealism."

Since so many have expressed a curiosity regarding my digital collages, I posted a step-by-step WIP of one in my old blog. Please have a look dears.

There you can see how small photo parts are assembled to form a single face off many different parts from different faces, and patterns are cut out and airbrushed to create a mix of painting and collage.
All photo parts not from my own stock are heavily composited from small parts of photos sourced on the creative commons, mainly from these two sites: [link] and [link]
