Portrait of Christina

So, another commissioned portrait!

I was asked by the client to include a dirigible, and some water source - and I was directed to peruse her LJ interestes, and this is the result of all that!

I put in a nightingale because she likes them, and also the backdrop outside the window is the painting 'battle of trafalgar' by Turner, because the commissioner is a fan of his.

The main body and part of the curtain are each altered versions and details from Bronzino paintings:

the rest of the imagery that I did not source from creative commons (like the Turner and Bronzinos) I used my own stock for. The zeppellin comes from a photo I took of a model in Eurodisney, and the image of the streetlight comes from the same place too. I take loads of photos, and love to composite them.

These portraits are such a joy to make. I'm pleased.
