The smell of galaxies, hot off the stove.

Technique:
This was created using digital collage technique that involves the layering of many photos and textures and much brushing over, to create a new unique image. Essentially its like good old fashioned collage... only it's done in photoshop, and extensively repainted.

This is a fascinating piece, so beautiful and mysterious; I would love to see it as a traditional collage...

Why would you love to see it as a 'traditional' collage?

So I could have it on a canvas to hang in my room :) I like art that you can touch.

I still don't quite understand..
As a digital piece, it IS possible to print this on a giclee canvas or archival paper. If it were a 'traditional' collage then it wouldn't be on a canvas.. it would be on paper.. I would still have to make a print of it if you wanted it in your room.. unless you wanted the actual original piece (which still wouldn't be canvas though! It would be mixed media)

The manner by which an artwork is created does not affect the manner in which it can be ultimately reproduced. It can still become an artwork to hang as decoration, or as you say it, to 'touch'.

But I think it is most important that artwork touches the soul first, anyway. And that certainly does not depend on medium.
