This is an illustration I was commissioned to make for an ABC book, that needs to go with this poem:
A rat in Rabat stole the bishop's hat, hitchhiked to Sliema and sold it to a cat. With the money that he earned he bought a ticket and returned, several hours later, to Rabat. Rabat is a place in Malta, so is Sliema. -------------------------------------------------- Technique: This was created using digital collage technique that involves the layering of many photos and textures and much brushing over, to create a new unique image. Essentially its like good old fashioned collage... only it's done in photoshop, and extensively repainted. |

In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you  the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. now selling tote bags of my work..
I love the mouse's moustache and the cat's wrinkly suit. I like how the mouse-thief is being paid in euros and that the cat is wearing aviator shades. I also like how the mouse is impatiently looking at the bus stop, eager to get back to Rabat and how the cat is looking at the viewer knowlingly, like he got a really good bargain on the bishop's hat and is thus very pleased with himself.
5 euros for a bishop's hat, that is certainly a bargain
